Red Arc 2011 Wrap-Up….Tumbleweed Edition!

December 20, 2011

Hi Everyone! Okay, so it’s been very tumbleweed-like on our blog and social media. We will kickstart those engines at the start of 2012 and become regularly engaged in the new year. In the meantime, just wanted to let you all know that tumbleweeds doesn’t equate to inactivity behind-the-scenes. So today is time to catch everyone up on all the recent happenings in the world of Red Arc.

On the production tip, there hasn’t been any slacking.  We’ve released five albums in the month of December alone!  Some of the jams include our new action-hybrid album “Havoc,” which is a downright dangerous album loaded with face melting synths. More hot fire comin’ at you with two instrumental hip hop albums in the mix now, “Urban Flow” and “Build Destroy,” featuring artists from DJ Skee’s (KIIS-FM) new label.  And lyke OMMMGGGGG, a TEEN POP album?!?!? That’s right!  Super fun pop music from synth pop, dance, indie, country and more! And just when you thought we were getting soft on you, BAM! We put the sonic beatdown on those teenyboppers with the super heavy hard rock album “Crimson.”

Music from Red Arc’s catalog was heard in numerous places throughout this past Fall. Red Arc provided music to the Clinton Foundation for multiple films, including the above, that played live to the audience during the  “Decade of Difference: A Concert Celebrating 10 Years of the William J. Clinton Foundation” concert at the Hollywood Bowl, as well as music packages for the subsequent television broadcast of the concert that featured performances by Bono, Lady Gaga, and Usher, among others. In the trailer & advertising worlds, Red Arc had music in marketing campaigns for “Act of Valor,” “The Double,” “Dragon Nest,” in addition to holiday spots for Australia’s Crown Casino.

Altogether, this past quarter was pretty eventful here at Red Arc. We hope your 2011 was similarly a great one. All of us here at Red Arc hope each and every one of you have a joyous holiday season. We wish you all the best in 2012!

RAMG Signs Trailer Composer Daniel Nielsen

July 22, 2011

The Fringe Element trailer series has added one of the trailer music industries most successful and prolific composers, Daniel Nielsen, to its roster. The first release from Daniel is an EP entitled “Four” with a range of track styles that include industrial guitar-driven hybrid tracks to a lighter yet emotionally charged promo piece. The album features some gutsy guitar playing by composer David Resnik and live drum tracking that really takes this album to the next level.

Daniel began his professional music career as a teenager performing with legendary jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie. Later in his career he contributed his talents to an eclectic group of performers including, Dave Stewart, Josh Stone, Damien Marley, Wynton Marsalis, Phil Collins, Miles Davis and Paul Oakenfold.

Daniel’s compositions for motion picture advertising campaigns include; all 8 Harry Potter Films, including it’s final release “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow – Part 2,” “Avatar,” “Transformers 1, 2 & 3,” “The Twilight Saga,” “Pirates of the Caribbean 1-4,” “Bourne Ultimatum,” “Chronicles of Naria,” “Da Vinci Code, and many, many more.

Fringe Element Producer and Creative Director, Sean Harrison, said, “Obviously we’re thrilled to have Daniel onboard. His reputation throughout the industry is well documented. He’s a pro. He’s dedicated to his craft and it shows.”

Daniel’s distinct style and relentless pursuit of production value is immediately identifiable in this latest EP. We think you’ll agree.

New Music Announcements!

June 20, 2011

Summer has arrived, well, it almost has. But we’ve got some new music for Summer right now. We’ve recently added 3 new albums as well as additional music to our current catalog. In the Red Arc Music Series, we introduce two new EPs which will grow into full-length albums in short order. Riviera is a modern world-pop collection that brings together today’s beats with indigenous instrumentation, along with One Planet which focuses more on the traditional side of international and ethnic songs. And in the Ignition Television Music Series, we debut a new full-length concept album featuring composer Mark LaRosa called Closure. All of these cues are tailor-made for those end-of-show closing montages. After hard fought battles, back-stabbing drama, or the end of a competition round, the people involved look towards the future after learning from what just took place. This is music to close the chapter as we wait to see what lies ahead for them.

Additionally, we have added music to the following Ignition albums: Big Air, On The Road Again, Rainy Window and 15 Minutes of Fame Vol. 1: Winning.

Hope all of you have a great Summer and be sure to check out all this great new music!

Ignition Television Music Series Debuts!

March 18, 2011

From the shores of Jersey to the open highways of America, our new television music series keeps it “GTL” fresh. After the successful launch of the Red Arc Music Series and the Fringe Element Trailer Series, we’re thrilled about the release of this third installment to our growing catalog, the Ignition Television Music Series.

This new series is broken out into two sections: the Ignition Collection, which covers programming from Crime & Mystery to Extreme Sports, as well as a Reality TV collection aptly titled 15 Minutes Of Fame. This set spans the emotional spectrum of reality programming from heart breaking defeat to the euphoric rush of victory. The entire Ignition series was specifically produced for non-scripted TV use by a hand-picked group of working industry professionals whose music has aired on CBS, NBC, FOX, Discovery, TLC, ESPN, Showtime, Travel Channel, MTV, and countless others.

Ignition’s debut featured artist is prolific film & television composer Kurt Oldman.  Having written on numerous shows for NBC, Showtime, Starz, TLC, and the Discovery Channel, Oldman also has 30 film scores to his credit. His well-rounded list of achievements doesn’t stop there, with campaigns for 3M and Monster.com, as well as gaming projects for Activision and Konami. Kurt’s music is currently featured on Ignition’s Crime & Mystery album, “John Doe”, and can also be heard throughout the Fringe Element Trailer Series.

Keep an eye out for upcoming album releases from the Ignition Series throughout the course of the year. Up first is the next installment in 15 Minutes Of Fame, as well as the positive, uplifting album, “Triumph,” and the world & ethnic, “Journeys.” Being boutique allows Red Arc to adapt our future release schedule to our production clients’ upcoming programming needs. We take pride in listening to our clients and producing the music that they need the most.

On The Horizon for Fringe Element

January 25, 2011

Red Arc Music Group’s premier trailer music series, Fringe Element, has a number of exciting items on the horizon. Next month will bring the first in a series of artist collection albums from the top composers in the trailer music world. Launching the series will be the album “Eclipse” from David Travis Edwards. David’s previous music can be heard in trailers such as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Star Trek, and The Tillman Story, as well as being heard all throughout Fringe Element’s existing albums. With Eclipse, David has written and produced a collection of live orchestral tracks spanning moods such as epic, action, heroic and thriller. We don’t want to spoil volumes 2 and 3 of the artist series yet but they will equally feature two other top names in trailer music. And trailer editors should look forward to our upcoming Editor’s Suite, which features hits, rises, title treatments, and other essential music and sound design elements for putting the finishing touches on your motion picture advertisements. Lastly, we have a secret project that we’ve been working on with our ‘friends’ from London. Just a teaser for now but we’re really excited about it!

So some very cool and highly anticipated projects lay ahead for the Fringe Element trailer music series. Stay tuned as we debut them throughout the first part of the year. We hope all of you are doing well and that you’re having a great start to 2011!

New music added to Red Arc Music Series

January 25, 2011

A number of new tracks have been added to the Red Arc Music Series. Through a newly formed relationship with the Young Pals record label out of Florida, we bring two killer alt rock tracks featuring vocalist PJ Griffith to our indie rock album, “Beard Club.” There’s the hard charging “Lying Eyes” in addition to the more laid-back “Soho Girl”. And in Double Latte, we bring two brand new acoustic-flavored performances from Chicago-based recording artist, Shane Wirkes. He contributes “Dakini” and “A Shiny Piece of Candy” to our growing singer-songwriter collection. Not a one-trick pony, Shane also wrote and performed on the ultra-lounge track, “Dojo,” which now resides on our chill-out album “Bottle Service.” Check out all these cool new tracks!
